The first half of life is for learning. The second half of life is for living.

The New Mid is a frank, funny look at women in mid-life and their day-to day-struggles and successes, as well as the big stuff - questions about meaning, fulfillment and happiness. It’s a place where women in their 40’s and up are breaking societal boundaries and expectations, while still dealing with real life issues such as caring for aging parents or restarting their careers.  You’ll get real talk with nothing held back about the topics you care about, with experts weighing in on health, sex, finances, relationships and everything in between.

Geni Donnelly and Rebeccah Bartlett from Yogamour Yoga Studio give us tips on how to create a powerful morning routine. You will learn how these simple steps can help you start your day in the right direction.

SHOW NOTES

·      This morning routine is from Ayurveda meaning “knowledge of life.”

·      First you should scrap your tongue. You can pick up a tongue scraper at any local drug store or Amazon.

o   Scrapping your tongue gets rid of any allergies or pollutants.

o   It gives your respiratory and digestive system a boost.

·      Drink a glass of room temperature water before you drink or eat anything.

·      Do 2 to 3 minutes of a breathe called “naughty breath.”

·      When you get out of bed put both feet on the ground. Mediate on your feet being firmly planted on the ground.

·      It’s best to use a copper scraper for your tongue and also drink out of a copper glass for your room temperature water.
