It’s a place where women in their 40’s and up are breaking societal boundaries and expectations, while still dealing with real life issues such as caring for aging parents or restarting their careers.  You’ll get real talk with nothing held back about the topics you care about, with experts weighing in on health, sex, finances, relationships and everything in between.

Are you wondering how you can keep you and your family healthy this cold and flu season? We are still waiting for a vaccine for the Coronavirus so we need to find natural ways to protect ourselves. We all need to social distance 6ft, wash our hands and wear masks but in addition to all of that, it's important more than ever that we concentrate on our whole body wellness. In today's episode I speak with the Founder of Root Wellness Stacy Tager about how we can naturally boost our immune system. She gives us insight on how food can really be medicine and what we can do to not only boost but protect our immune system.

Here are a few takeaways:

  • If you don't make time for your wellness now, you'll make time for your illness later.
  • Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, dietary fiber, whole foods, fermented vegetables, and probiotics.
  • Sugar is very harmful to our immune system. Unfortunately, sugar is in so many foods that we don't even suspect. It's not our fault that so many of us are addicted to sugar.
  • Vitamin C 1,000 milligrams, Vitamin D3 1,000-5,000 milligrams and Zinc. Check with your doctor before you start taking any supplements. Some supplements can mess with the medication you're taking.
  • What you put in your body is your first line of defense to stay healthy.
