It’s not just a New Year but a New Decade! In today’s episode I discuss with Author and Keynote Speaker Julie Gaver on how to create Resolutions that you can keep not only for this year but for a lifetime. She gives us actionable steps on how to create a life you love.

·      How to overcome serious setbacks.

·       Set Goals not just on New Year’s Day but throughout the Year. 

·      September is a good time to evaluate and set New Goals.

·      1st Step to goal setting is to participate in an activity that centers around gratitude. It will get you in the right mindset.

·      Get a Large Keepsake/Memory Box to put items in throughout the year.

·      In setting Goals use Lara Casey’s Power Sheet Concept. 

·      SMART Goal setting.

·      S – Specific, be very specific and clear on your goal.

·      M – Measurable, make sure you can measure your goal to see if you’ve accomplished it.

·      A – Attainable, choose something that you can do.

·      R – Realistic, a practical goal that can be achieved.

·      T – Time, Your goal should be accomplished in a timely manner. 

·      Make a “Vision Book” instead of a “Vision Board.” It can easily be created using a scrapbook. 

·      Your Vision Book can be used for years to come. You can see how you’ve grown, changed, stayed the same when you review your book every year. 

·      One Word – Goal setting. Julie recommends the book “One Word That Will Change Your Life.”

·      What is one Action Verb word that captures what you want to accomplish in the New Year?
