The first half of life is for learning. The second half of life is for living.

The New Mid is a frank, funny look at women in mid-life and their day-to day-struggles and successes, as well as the big stuff - questions about meaning, fulfillment and happiness. It’s a place where women in their 40’s and up are breaking societal boundaries and expectations, while still dealing with real life issues such as caring for aging parents or restarting their careers.  You’ll get real talk with nothing held back about the topics you care about, with experts weighing in on health, sex, finances, relationships and everything in between.

In today's New Mid Tips I discuss how we can use this time when we’re staying at home to start small healthy habits. This will help us to not only use this opportunity to move in a positive direction, it will also set us up for a more positive life once the quarantine is over. We can give ourselves a break and not have to have BIG goals but rather small ones that we know we can accomplish.

1. Decision: Decide on what tiny habit you could start today to make your life healthier: drink more water, take a daily walk, go to bed a 1/2 hour earlier…

2- Motivation: What’s your motivation for starting this habit? How are you going to benefit from this new habit?

3- Easy: Make sure it’s something easy that you can do in the next 21 days.

4- Celebration: Every time you do the new habit be sure to celebrate yourself. You can say to yourself: “I’m Awesome!” And a smile is guaranteed to follow!
